Blue Quilt,
That happened to me once. Make sure the thread is correctly threaded thru the tension disks. You may need to floss it in to make sure it gets in the groove. Check the rest of the top area to make sure the rest is threaded ok. Hope this helps.

Hi,

I am having tension problems. on the back of my quilts the tension looks great (finally) but now I have tension problems on the quilt top. The thread is like a long line and could be pulled out very easy. I have turned the the top knob both right and left. What should I be doing? What affects the top tension. Hate to mess too much with anything as the bottom looks so good. I am still a pretty new quilter and like my HQ very much but the tension can be very frustrating.
