I had the New Joy Magic table before I purchased my HQ 16(Wahoo! What a machine) The new HQ table wasn't out yet. I would like any input from someone else doing this also. I'm having a bit of trouble setting the quilt up to quilt. Thanks.
I have a New Joy Magic table and use the HQ16 with it. I haven't had it very long. I have only done 3 practice quilts so far. I like the table because it is lower and I like the shelf for the pantographs being on top.
I'm having better luck with setting up the quilt. Read and re-read directions. It helps. So does walking away. I'm not having as much luck with the pantographs as with free motion. I got a dry erase board and just practiced. It's easier, and cheaper that paper.
Grandmapeg, I had read somewhere and tried this myself. When setting up a pantograph trace it with the laser without stitching. Do this a couple of times then try stitching it. It helped me, hope you find it helpful.

Thanks, AnnC for the suggestion. I'm just back from a quilt club meeting and will try it and let you know.
I have the new joy magic frame and the simply sixteen machine and they work good together do you have the other newjoy frame?
I have the new joy magic and the hq 16 stitch regulated. I also got the adapter kit from new joy so I could use pantograms and the regulator. My husband thought he could do it himself but the kit from new joy was so reasonable I ordered it from them. I am going to a quilt show to look at PC quilter, AND fabric & Fabric.........
I might think of adding that to my set up. I want to look at the new HQ system, too, but it is so much more expensive. Have to see them both at work. By the way, I'm still having trouble with pantogram. Even with practice they don't look fluid. I'm going to my new owners class in a week. Maybe that will help.
Where can I look at the New Joy Magic table? grannybee
Google new joy magic on line and look for a dealer. You might want to look at the handi quilter upgraded table. It wasn't out when I got my new joy table and it looks like I would have bought the handi quilter ungraded table if it had been available. I am finding that having continuity with your products makes life a lot easier.
