vibration on studio frame

I am experiencing vibration when quilting near or in the center of my studio frame. We've tried releveling but the vibration always comes back, so we check the level and have to readjust. Is the normal movement or vibration of the machine causing the studio frame to keep "un-leveling"? Is this typical? We did notice that after the rep set it up the hex nut on one of the front center legs is stripped, but that shouldn't have anything to do with it, should it?
Thanks for a quick reply. Other than this problem, I love the frame. Mel in Texas |

This is not normal and should not be happening. Check to see if one or both of the latches in the center legs are in the right hole. It may seem at quick glance that they are, but check closely to see if that is the issue. Let me know if this is the problem, and if not, we will see if there is something else that could be happening.

I am here again about the vibration and problems with leveling feet on the studio frame. We did check the latches as you mentioned to make sure that they are in the same location on the center legs--they are.
I am constantly checking the levelness of the entire frame and what I am finding is that the leveler feet on the center legs keep changing. Basically, the leveler feet of the center legs "loosen" meaning that they are not longer touching the floor. I have to adjust by turning the foot so that it is touching the floor to be level. My question is why this happens so often and why is not the same foot in the center every time. The frame is on laminate flooring without any cushion or rug, so is the vibration of using the machine causing this? If so, should I attach those felt pads like one puts on furniture legs to prevent scratches? My husband and I have discussed taking my machine off and turning all of the leveler feet all the way down and starting over to level the table. Is this a good idea? I also think this affects my abilty to control the machine. If it is not vibrating in the center area, it is dragging as if the wheels are not able to turn. I have checked for threads on tracks and wheels, but I have not removed the wheels to check in that way. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks |

Yes, the vibration can cause the leveling feet to move when they are on a solid floor surface. Try putting a rubber coaster or mouse pad under the feet and that should be enough give to prevent the feet from rising.
