What is the specific needle size for the HQ16?
I know that HQ uses the Groz-Beckert needle but replaces the factory label with a generic HQ label which has no information at all.
So what is the actual label description as used by Groz-Beckert for the 16/100 needle?
Handi Quilter recommends using the Handi
Quilter needles. They are made for Handi Quilter. We sell 16,18 and 20 needles.

Thank you Cheryl.
I know that Handi Quilter recommends the HQ needle.(I read the manual)
The HQ needle is made by Groz-Beckert and I am simply looking for the exact model number which Handi Quilter chooses to hide from the public by placing a Handi Quilter label on a Groz-Beckert needle container.
Why is this information a secret?
I looked under the GADGETS AND ACCESSORIES section and the needles are 135X5 needles. I have gotten them at a few other longarm suppliers in different sizes.
a repeat from the old forum, but it was a great find to me. allbrands.com sells organ brand 135x5 titanium tipped needles in smaller sizes than handiquilter. i've been using 80/12's for quite a while now and love them. the difference is espcially noticeable when stitching through fused fabric - they make much smaller holes than the larger needles that i purchased from HQ when i bought my machine.

allbrands.com sells them in packs of 100. i've seen them elsewhere in smaller packages, although i don't recall where.
