Hi, I think you and I are the only ones checking this forum. I've been lonely. As for the upgrades. I'll be anxious to hear how you are doing. I'm waiting for my dealer to get his up and running before I make a decision. I want to try it first. I've had my machine for over a year and everything is working fine. |

| I just put my upgrade on and hope to put a quilt on tonight. I'll let you know what I think. I did notice the lighting is lots better and I love it !!!!! It was easy to put on, and I did play with the settings a bit, I can't find the "stitch half / full " yet, but I am hoping someone can tell me where it is hiding. I was happy with the set up before, but I think there will come a time when we will need these upgrades, or just pay for them then, so I decided to go ahead now. Do you have the edgerider wheels? That is the next thing I am considering getting. My track where the wheels ride keeps getting really grayish, yucky looking, I wipe it off with alcohol, but it come back shortly, I wonder if the wheels are leaking some oil, or just wear ??? maybe worn out !! haha anyhow, I was feeling lonely too, I am so glad you are here. :) |

What are edgerider wheels? I've heard about many different things by reading this forum and wonder where eveyone hears about them. I check the HandiQuilter web site often but they don't seem to have much to offer. I've heard about the circle lord but don't have a clue as to what it is and would like to know. I'm up for anything for my machine. I use it a lot and want to expand to doing different kinds of quilting. My track gets pretty dirty looking and now some of the part under the wheels is coming off. I mentioned it to the dealer and he was clueless as to what was happening. It doesn't interfer with the movement of the machine so I'm not that concerned right now. I suppose it could be wearing out. |

I noticed that entries have gotten a little scarce. Is everyone having a really good summer with good weather and no bugs? Or have we said everything we need to say? I have finally gotten over my fear of machine quilting. I did a full size quilt, free hand, last Sunday and was surprised that I could get it all done in one day. I decided that the 5 scrap quilts I have made will be my practice quilts - I got tired of muslin squares. And since they are total scrap quilts - all the fabric but a little came out of my scrap baskets (scrap not stash), I don't care if they are not perfect, Done is good enough for me at this time. I tried feathers for the first time and they didn't turn out too bad - a little sloppy as the machine tends to go WILD every once in a while and over shoot, but on the whole, they were acceptable. |
