| I bought a used HQ16. I am not doing free motion with it due to health problems. I have a robotic quilter, MQR, that I am using. My frame is a B-line that has been adjusted for the HQ16.I am having horrible problems with the tension. Is there anyone here in Roanoke, VA or near me that would be willing to help me? I am just about ready to throw it out the window. I have had this setup since the middle of December and it has only stitched out once correctly for about a foot.Ran out of room on my snadwich so I changed to a new practice sandwich and it's been messed up since. I have oiled, cleaned, changed needle, thread, etc.. Nothing is helping. |

I live in North Roanoke County. We have a new quilt shop in Daleville, VA near Botatourt HS that has a Handi-Quilter in her shop. One Oak Quilts. The owner seems incredibly knowledgable about her machine and might could help you. I do not own a Handi-Quilter yet however will have one by summer. Karen Creeger is the owner of One Oak Quilts and has owned her machine for several years. 540-966-1985. She rents out her machine, I used this machine to finish a quilt this week and do not know enough to help you but can direct you to her.
Ken at Patchwork Quilts in Dayton, VA is the Handi-Quilter Rep for our area. He also could advise you 540-879-2505. Hope this helps and gives you a place to start to get your problem solved. |
