How has the hq16 changed my life?

I never was very good at machine quilting with my ordinary sewing machine. I could not see enough of the top to anticipate where I wanted to move my stitches into. I always ended up in a corner with no way out. And while I could see my quilting designs in my mind, but couldn't get them onto the quilt. I doodle as if I am making quilting patterns and have done that for years before I started quilting.
With my Hq 16 I can see everything! I am at last HOME! I feel so comfortable doing free motion as I can plan my pathways and end up in the right spot. I still have problems getting my tops loaded but after that I just quilt happily away. |

| My jumping up and down moment was that I don't have to use the table or be on the floor to pin the layers together. I don't mind free motion quilting as much as you did. However, I really get frustrated when I did not do a good job of sandwiching the layers together. Using the rails for the layers was heaven sent! I almost thought of just buying the rails and the table top just so I can load the layers on them and then safety pin the layers to machine quilt it later. I almost. |
