I would like to sell my HQ sixteen setup. The machine is non-stitch regulated. Included will be any related supplies that I have: ruler and ruler base, extra bobbins, pantographs (about 20), thread (about 10 large spools), The table was purchased through handiquilter. I have quilted about 20 quilts on the machine. I have 3 quilts that I plan to finish by Thanksgiving, so it will be available the first of December. I moved from a larger house and no longer have the room for it. Selling price $5,000.

Good Morning! May I ask how old the Handiquilter is and where you live? Thanks, Laurie

Fort Collins, Colorado. I purchased it in 2004.

I would be interested in your pantographs if you want to sell them seperately.
Thanks Kathy

Sorry, I need to sell everything together. It's a all or nothing venture. If I don't get a buyer I'll continue to store it until I need to use it again. I'm currently setting up the machine in the living room and will have some pictures. I also have the bobbin winder and it will be included. I will also consider any reasonable offers. Email me directly so I don't miss your message. My ID for the site is also my email address. Thanks.

I am very interested in this machine. Have you had any problems with it?

I quilted a quilt for my sister that had been hand batiked by a class. The machine tended to stall quite a bit I think because of the wax relief. It does stall periodically, but is fixed by pushing stop and start again on the handles. You would need to buy new track if you want to do a large quilt. I stored it bent so on the very edges of the track you have to hold the machine steady to get over the bump in the track. I have been just working around it, but it would function better with a new track. I think they sell at handiquilter for $70.00. If you are interested and local we can arrange for a time for you to see the machine in action. Again I am trying to finish up 3 quilts before Thanksgiving. Also instead of Handiquilter's lazer light I bought one from Radio shack to fit in the holder. It runs on a AAA battery. I have had no other problems.

Two out of 3 quilts are done, and the machine did not stall once. I'm thinking the seams were too thick on the last quilts and that was causing periodic stalling. I would rather disassemble the machine into someone's truck and not back to my basement. Perhaps someone could suggest a price.

Final quilt done. If anyone is interested I have lowered the price to $4,000 and have listed it on Craigslist under Fort Collins. There will be pictures on Craigslist.
