Hi All,
I have had my HQ16 for almost 2 years now and last month the C-Pod/Stitch Regulator began acting up. First symptom was uneven stitches. Now, when I try to baste the edges, it emits a small high pitched whine and shuts down and then starts up again. LCD display shows it is booting. It will do this once every 30 seconds or so. There is about a 3 second "window" where if I start stitching it will keep going for a few minutes
So far it keeps going when I am actually stitching a row, but if I pause, restarting can be challenging.
Has anyone else seen this problem?
Yes. I learned quilting on a gammill classic with no stitch regulater. So when I bought my Handi Quilter 16 , I did alot of free motion quilting. It wasn't until probably 2 years into owning it that I tried the stitch regulater. I would start stitching and the machine would stitch 2 or 3 stitches then beep and stop, it wouldn't let me stitch again for a few seconds. I thought it was me trying to go to fast, but a tech said my c-pod may need to be replaced.
