Well for one thing it gives me peace and I have blessed so many people thru my quilting. This year I was able to make a lot of money as well so in this economy I was able to help our finances. It is such a good feeling to make money doing what you love. My HQ16 is the perfect machine for my needs and that of my customers. I, for one, am so happy I found and was able to purchase my "Ellie".
Having my HQ16 I have been able to finish two small Christmas quilts in the past month. It takes me one third the time to quilt my quilt top. I used to spend weeks pushing the quilt through the home machine. Now I have fun making designs in thread and giving my quilt an added details
I bought my HQ 16 about 6 months ago, and all I want to do is quilt! I just love it and I feel like I'm still learning more and more about it. My quilting room is my "Inspiration Room". I haven't had the opportunity to go to the Handiquilter classes, but I did go to Innovations in Seattle, and met a lot of other Handiquilter owners there. I've completed several quilts and have tried several quilting methods.
I have always loved to piece quilts , but could only tie them. I never sent them out for quilting. I felt I was missing something. Now, how has it changed my life? I feel complete! I am having so much fun. Looking at different sites, books, blogs, mags. etc.Than taking the ideas and putting them on the quilt tops. It's definitely cutting into my husbands back scratching time. LOL
