I saw this traditional sit-sown system at the quilt show in DesMoines this last Oct. I live in Minnesota and am having trouble locating a dealer. This looked like a fantastic machine! Has anyone out there purchased their system on-line??
Did you find a Minnesota HQ dealer or did you purchase your machine on line?

Karla in Minnesota
Karla...so sorry to reply so late but I was out of town. I purchased my HQ sit-down thru St Cloud Sewing Center in St. Cloud. It was actually sent straight from HQ but by purchasing thru the Center I have a place to take it if it should need a repair.... and I can set up a class if I choose to. Which I probably will do some day. Bobbi
i bought my sit down machine at quilt festival in houston. a local dealer was then assigned to me. her shop is at least an hour away, and she actually drove to my house for the initial visit to check on the machine! between the "local" dealer and the customer service in utah, any issues that have come up have been handled wonderfully.

re: the original question about buying online: i'd have no hestitation to do that. the reason i waited to buy my machine was that i wanted to take a sit down version out for a test drive, and finding one set up in a shop is no simple trick.

Bobbi, please tell me how you like your sit down system. What kind of quilts are you making (art quilts, bed quilts?) Does the machine do regular sewing or only freemotion? What is the table size? I don't understand why Handi Quiltr does not have the specs on its web site. Thanks, Connie
