What Supplies to Use/Video Request

I recently purchased a used HQ 16 which once was set up as a long arm, but was converted to a sitdown.

I would like to know what kind of "supplies" would work with this machine. Can prewound M bobbins be used? Will any M Bobbin (metal) work in this machine. If not, what brands would work. Would you recommend a certain brand of needle?

Also, is there a possibility of HQ making a video that demonstrates the use of rulers with a sitdown model....such as the versaRule and a wave and straight ruler.
