I am considering buying a HQ Avante but I have only quilted on my home machine. I am tired of the restrictions of the small throat area limiting my quilting. That being said, I am terrified that if I buy one I won't be able to work it! How hard is it to hook on the quilts? I have read many opinions on this and it is my biggest fear!!! I don't plan on getting the Pro Sticher at this time because I want to make sure I can use it first. Can anyone help guide me in this decision, I have never done long arm before and want some opinions before I spend this much money!

Thanks
Kathy...I just purchased and set up my HQ Avante with the Studio Frame! the set up of the quilting frame was EASY! The instructions were clear and the parts easy to identify! Once the frame was assembled it was a simple task of just placing the carriage on the tracks and the machine onto the carriage! Connect the two computer ribbons onto the 9pin connectors...plug the machine ..thread it and select the quilting mode. I selected Cruise mode and I started quilting fanciful feathers! No adjustments required and the machine is humming! LOVE This machine! I have owned a HQ16 for 6years and loved this machine and wanted to move up to a larger throat size machine. I had test run both the Avante and the Fussion. ..I chose the Avante only because I am a short person and I found that the 24inch quilting area was too deep for me to comfortably quilt in. The avante was just right a quilting area for me to work in. No sense driving a semi when a pick up will do the job for you! I believe that if you choose to purchase the Avante you will have no regrets!..Pamela
Pamela,

Thank you so much! I think I am going to go for it! I just called the lady at the shop and I am waiting for her to call back. Just wondering how hard it is to get the quilt top on the machine as I have no previous experience with this and I am a bit nervous. Any advice would be appreciated!! Thank you!
