Can you believe. After my HQ 18 Avante arrived and was all set up, my husband showed a bigger interest in my hobby. Now, I have a hard time even getting near it. He has become the quilter in the family I make the tops and he quilts them. He was always great and supportive and took me to quilt shows, now when he attends a show with me he carefully examines the quilts on display, and provides me with a critique of the quilt design, thread choice etc. We always had a great marriage and now we have even more in common. We are attending an HQ retreat together this year as our vacation and are looking forward to meeting other HQ users.
How lucky you are to have a husband that enjoys your hobby. Congratulations!
I have tried to get my hubby involved in my quilting but don't think that will ever happen. He did buy me my Bernina 830 and my HQ Avante 18 with no problem but if it doesn't have 2 wheels on it and goes VROOM, VROOM he just doesn't understand it. But I still love him and after 42 years I will let him do his thing and I will continue to enjoy my "Dorothy" and "ToTo". I feel like I am in the Land of OZ when I am in my sewing room even though at times I'll swear a tornado has hit.

Ah.. we have similar sewingrooms... I also have the 830... got it last Fall and am loving it.. i am also blessed that my husband is happy to let me have what I want in that way.. but I am not sure I will ever see him asking to take it for a spin given I see him eyeing a new boat :) The rule in this roost is " if you got the cash, you can buy the toy".. so with my new HQ coming home with week i see a new boat in his future and that is just fine with me :)
