Locking Stitch

Okay was watching video and seen how when done quilting she locks stitch then moves machine to get thread then goes back and gets bobbin thread up. When I move my fusion to side it is so tight it pulls quilt with machine until thread breaks my tension looks good. Just wondering if I am doing something wrong?
