laser light on simply 16

I just purchased the Simly 16 at NH MQX show. Today, I hooked up the laser light and it has no light. I called the local dealer, she asked if I plugged it in the right spot, and had the machine turned on. Nothing works. I hope it is not the pod and just a defective light. It does not look like the one in the picture in the manual, there is no number on it or an arrow like the manual states. My dealer and I are waiting for an answer from you. thanks
