The HQ16 with the Pro-Stitcher is nesting at the very end of the design. The needle freezes, alarms sound and it will not tie off the last threads. The bobbin tension is set to pull up the thread to the point of setting the bobbin case on its side but not lift it. The top thread seems to be the problem. When I fix it, the top thread is tied around the bobbin case. Otherwise the stitches look great with the exception that there seems to be a small loop of thread at the beginning of the stitch that is not tight. I do hold the tails firm as it begins stitching.

I appreciate any help you can offer me.

Hi Melissa, I ran into your post and thought I should tell you that HandiQuilter does not read the topic that you posted your question under. They only read 'ask an expert'. I would try to answer your question but I can't grasp what you are describing. My best guess is that you might not have the top thread threaded right (don't forget the spot right above the needle. Or maybe the needle timing is off, for that you're going to have to call Handiquilter. Good luck Melissa, Connie

p/s 'nesting' is how one design fits into another on your 2nd pass. If you have a bunch of thread on the backside of the quilt, thats called a bird or rats nest. Hugs...
