Jill has been designing quilt patterns for more than 10 years. Her quilt designs reflect her own fresh style, using great color and texture with many fabrics. She usually adds a little appliqué to soften and finish each design. Her designs have been featured in several magazines including American Patchwork and Quilting, Quilt, and Quilter’s Home.
Jill recently released a book with Martingale/That Patchwork Place called Home Sweet Quilt. Her book includes a variety of designs, from table runner to dish towels, lap quilts, queen-size quilts, and pillows. She combines cotton or wool appliqué with traditional patchwork quilts. And there is something for everyone — from beginners through expert quilters.

Jill is also a talented fabric designer for Henry Glass. Her latest fabric line is Beyond the Gate. It’s a charming mix of fabrics — from florals to geometrics to polka dots — that are sure to work in just about any quilt.

And it’s not too late to register for the 2013 Handi Quilter’s Academy being held at the Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah. This year’s event is focused entirely on using HQ Pro-Stitcher. It combines classroom training with hands-on practice, complemented with some fun activities that will make this an annual retreat you’ll want to do each year!
