Cutting Table Height

Did you know the right height for your cutting table?

Cutting table (and ironing board) height will vary depending on how tall you are. A typical counter is 40″ high and that works good for me (5’7″). When standing with your arms bent at a 90-degree angle, the table top should be no more than an inch or two lower. Of course you want it at whatever height is comfortable for you — but not so low that you are bending over when rotary cutting.

If you need to raise your table, consider bed risers. Or add lengths of PVC pipe cut to the length you need as recommended by Handmade by Diana:

“How to do it: go to your local hardware store and buy PVC pipes/tubing to the height you desire. I bought 1 1/2 inch by 12 inch Black Drain Slip Joint Extension with Nut from ACE Hardware and they cost a little more than $6 for 4 of them.”
