Quilt of the Month: International Quilt Study Center and Museum

Do you check out the “quilts of the month” featured on the International Quilt Study Center and Museum web site?

July’s quilt of the month is a wonderful tribute to the first responders who died responding to the terror attacks on September 11, 2001.

Be sure to click through to the large image of the quilt in order to see the quilting in the borders — including quilted images of the Twin Towers, a New York Police Department police officer’s cap, a New York Fire Department firefighter’s helmet, the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, and an American flag at half-mast.

While you’re at the IQSCM website, be sure to check out other quilts of the month.
