Mary Beth Krapil
 She was born and raised in the Chicago area and learned to sew from her mother and grandmother at a young age. Throughout her life she pursued many creative outlets, from throwing pottery to woodworking to bear making; however, quilting is her passion. In the early 1980’s, Krapil relocated to Orlando, FL, where she and her husband raised their two sons while she pursued her career as a pharmacist. She made her first quilt after her oldest son was born and has been quilting since. After purchasing her HQ Sixteen, there was no stopping her. She has become an award-winning quilter with ribbons from AQS and MQS and many local shows. She enjoys sharing the fun of quilting with others and encouraging quilters, new and old, to “go for it!”
