stretched leaders

edited February 2014 in Ask An HQ Expert
I have a fully extended fusion, but most of my quilts are not king sized, so the center of the leader is stretched enough to misalign the top when I pin it. Is there something I can do without incurring the cost of new leaders?

  • PattyG,

Yes, you can straighten your leaders. Kimmy Brunner has great directions on her website of how to do this. If you go to and click the Learn button. Scroll down to Free Learning Tools, then click the "Staightening Your Leaders" link. She has step by step direction for creating a crisp and straight new edge on your leaders.

This should help or if you don't want to do this you can always buy a new set of leaders and cut them down so you can use the size you want.

    Good luck,
