Advice & machine for sale?
  • I am now ready to take the jump into HQ machines. Any advice on model? I am buying primarily now for my own use but as my skills improve would like to offer quilting services for others as my full time job will be ending early this year.
How about second hand machines? Anyone in sw VA have one for sale??
    Thanks.
  • I loved learning on my sweet 16!! I have it for sale now though as hubby says it is taking up too much space in the basement and I don't use it as much as I used to. It is a great mid-range machine to learn on though. My set up has the machine, which is in great condition with stitch regulator, a full size, custom built table with rails that can fit up to a King size quilt. The table was built by a master craftsman and is super sturdy!! I think the table is my favorite part of the whole thing. Plus a whole bunch of extras including thread and tensions gauges. I am willing to negotiate on the price. I am in NH, but I am willing to ship it or possibly even take a road trip down to deliver. I used to live in Norfolk and Newport News so it could be fun to make that trip again!! :) I have a picture on my blog here: http://scrapendipitydesigns.com/blog/?p=366

  • QuilterCaterer,

You will love whichever machine you decide to get. They are all wonderful. You can go to the Handi Quilter website and see the details of each machine and how much room you will need to set one up.

If you purchase your Handi Quilter from a local rep they should be able to help train you on how to use the machine. We also have retreats at Handi Quilter and they would very helpful in getting you started. There are also lots of videos on the Handi Quilter website that will provide you useful information to help you get started.

    Good luck with your decision.
