I have recently purchased an Avante and then the new Pro Sticher. There is NO GOOD TRAINING!! We have paid thousands of dollars for these machines yet you can't get good training. Or, you have to pay thousands of dollars more for training. Don't get me wrong I love my machine but what good is it to me if I can't use what I have paid for because the training is so poor. I'm extremly frustrated!!! HQ how can you improve training without charging you customers so much money.
Hello. I am sorry that you are experiencing frustrations in learning how to run your new machine. HQ puts out at least four very informative dvds that can show you step by step how to use your machine. And if you go to the HQ website, you will find a PDF file that will show you the basics for using pro-stitcher. I do not work for Handi-Quilter. I own a retail quilt shop in El dorado, Ks and purchased a new Fusion 24 with Pro-Stitcher in December of 2011. I would be happy to help you in any way that I can if you would like to call. Hi, I too am sorry to hear that there is no training offered to you. I bought a Fusion with the Pro Stitcher just this past December. I decided on HQ partly because there was a dealer 45 min from me and they offered Free Classes to those who do purchase through them...$75 per class if you didn't . I guess I'm thinking this isn't your situation. I'm in Michigan ...not sure how close you are. Also I have just last weekend taken a pro stitcher class( big help even though I need more ...I have got instructions printed out ...info on using the PS step by step...I'll scan and email them to you if you want .....
Training is also a sore point with me. But what is worse is that I have yet to find written instuctions that have an Index. Ex. I want to find out where I find Channel Lock option on the Pro Stitcher and how to use it. I've even tried the web , get answers but not what I'm looking for. I hate to call the shop where I purchased it as I feel as if I'm being talked down to. One month into this and I'm feeling pretty lost.
I am sorry you are having problems finding how to use your HQ Pro-Stitcher. On the Handi Quilter web site under downloads you can find all the user manuals. They have an index and have pictures that show you where the different functions are located and explain how to use the functions.
Also, there are some very good tutorials on getting started with your Pro-Stitcher. They walk you through step by step as to which button to push and when.
