I have the Avante and have never been able to get the groovy boards to work properly. I can go for a few minutes and the thread breaks. I have tried everything. Sometimes when it breaks there are extra top thread coming up from bottom. Other times the thread shred . It also will skip stitches. My daughter just made a quilt for her father-In-law and is trying to use the baptist fan . I can't even count how many times the thread is broken. We are in the middle of the quilt and are FRUSTRATED!
I love my machine and really want to be able to use the groovy boards. I have been to the university re-treat and loved using the groovy boards up there but have never been able to use them at home.
