Info on Handi Quilter Education/Retreats

edited February 2013 in General
Handi Quilter prides itself on it's mission to educate quilters and help them finish quilts. To that end we offer a number of educational opportunities throughout the country every year:

Our main HQU retreats are held in our studio in North Salt Lake. Classes are designed to be hands on and attendees will work on their own HQ18 Avante. We currently don't have classes on other machines, however there are demo models of the HQ24 Fusion and HQ Sweet Sixteen available if you'd like to try one out while you are here. They cover topics from beginner to advanced and you learn with our amazing in-house educators.

The Quilter's Academy through Handi Quilter also sponsors larger event retreats every year in addition to a view-at-home DVD series covering a number of great topics.

We also have a group of award-winning National Educators who travel the country to teaching events held at local shops and guilds. A list of scheduled events with these ladies can be found in this site's Events section. If you don't see one in your area talk to your local HQ dealer about setting up an event.

Handi Quilter also provides machines and teachers at most major quilting events throughout the country. Classes should be registered for through the respective event.

There are also a number of HQ dealers that offer their own classes and individual training on machines. Talk to your local rep to see if they know of other resources in your area.
