height of studio frame for comfort

edited March 2013 in General
Hubs is in the process of building me my OWN quilting room! Yea! I have the Avante on a 12 ft studio frame and have relied on the Pro-Stitcher for WAY too long. It is time for me to put on my big girl panties and learn how to do a bit of creative quilting other than meander. So, big question is....what height would you suggest for comfort and control? Where do the bars hit your body?

  • I am 5ft 6in and I set my table high
I like to be able to do my quilting without hunching over and I like to be able to steady my arms on the belly bar if needed which works great when micro stitching or precision work. It ale alleviates stress on the neck and shoulders.
