Canned/compressed air

A customer stopped by the Utah HQ office and someone there told her to never used canner/compressed air on her HQ16. I have never heard of this and have had an HQ for 6 years and have always used canned air. Can someone clarify this for me. Thanks, Nancy in Calgary

  • Handi Quilter has always advised against using compressed air to clean the bobbin area because it blows the lint into the machine, where it can't be reached by the consumer. Eventually, that lint build-up can cause mechanical problems. We suggest using a brush to gently clean the area, which removes the lint, rather than displacing it.
