Question on thread tention on the back of the quilt
  • It seem like sometimes the back of the quilt thread pattern is not very tight. It just looks like a line of thread. I realize this is probably a tension issue, but is it the top tension or the bobbin tension?

    Thank you,
    Lisa
  • lhauth,

If your bobbin is set correctly and the bobbin thread is just a straight line on the back of your quilt you need to tighten the top tension. This will pull the bobbin thread into the middle of your quilt.

There is a good video on the Handi Quilter website. It is under HQ Education, videos, then scroll to the bottom of the page look for General Education on the right hand side. There is a video on TNT. It will explain how to set your tension.

    Good luck,
