Cottonseed Glory Quilt Shop is a premier quilt shop located in Annapolis, Maryland.  This blog will give you some glimpses of who we are and what we have to offer!  The first few posts will give you an introduction to our store, our products, and our classes, then we'll keep you posted with events, class dates, new fabric lines, and everything else that's going on in our corner of the quilting world!

We have one of the best selections of quilting fabrics you'll find anywhere, with over 6,000 bolts of beautiful 100% cotton fabric.  We also have notions, supplies, patterns, and everything else that you might need to get started or finish your project.

If you buy your Handi Quilter Sixteen through our store, Cottonseed Glory will deliver and install the HQ Sixteen to your home at no additional cost in Maryland, DC, Virginia, Delaware, eastern West Virginia, or southeastern Pennsylvania, including personalized instruction and continuing support with an instructor with 25 years of machine quilting experience. Support is also available from a factory-trained mechanic. We have an active HQ Sixteen Club for continuing lessons and other events--free to our HQ Sixteen customers.  This offers shared experiences and ensures that you have opportunity to expand your skills with this wonderful machine.  We specialize in customer service!

  • Yes, we really want it to be our top priority to make sure that anybody who buys an HQ-16 from us knows exactly how to use it. We come right to customers' homes to set it up and give beginning lessons so that they don't get overwhelmed right off the bat, as you've mentioned, and we want to make sure that we offer a forum for continued learning and so that they can share their discoveries and creations. It makes something like the HQ-16 so much more fun when you have friends to share it with, doesn't it?

  • Thanks for sharing. It's great that you offer an HQ16 customer club. I have met so many HQ16 owners that still haven't pulled it out of the box as they are a bit overwhelmed and hesitate getting started. We took a class with Hattie Brown at our local HQ distributor and found it very informative and a great motivator to just do it.
