U of HQ Machine Quilting Retreats - 2011

Held in beautiful Salt Lake City, Utah.

A, B, C & P Retreat Fee: $750.00

QuiltCAD Retreat Fee: $500

There is a $100.00 non-refundable deposit when registering. Registrar Hatty Brown will call you after you have pre-registered using Eventbrite, to get your credit card information, so you can make a nonrefundable deposit of $100 to hold your seat.

Note: All Handi Quilter Retreats are taught in the Handi Quilter Studio on HQ¹⁸ Avanté machines. 

Include classes, materials, ground transportation from hotel to HQ and airport, 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches & 3 dinners (provided you use the HQ-designated hotel). QuiltCAD Retreat costs $500 and includes class, materials, ground transportation from hotel to HQ and airport, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 dinners (provided you use the HQ-designated hotel and you stay over the second day). We schedule one student per machine/table.

Enjoy catered luncheons and dinners. Start each day with a delicious breakfast if you are staying at the provided Handi Quilter accommodation. Soft drinks, coffee, juice, bottled water and snacks are available throughout the day. Free hotel shuttle at 8am available for transportation from airport and to and from Handi Quilter Studio each day.

NOTE: You can plan to travel on the first and last days of Retreats A, B, C and P. Arrive by 4:00 p.m. for 6:00 p.m. dinner on Day 1. Do not plan to leave before 3 p.m. on Day 4. The exception is QuiltCAD retreat. Plan to arrive the night before (August 24) and plan to leave no earlier than 7 p.m. on August 26. Most will choose to stay the night and fly home the next morning.

 

Typical day's schedule

Day 1: travel to SLC arrive by 4:00 pm for 6:00 pm dinner

Day 2: Classes from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

           Dinner 6:00 pm

           Visit to local quilt store

Day 3: Classes from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

          Dinner 6:00 pm

Day 4: Classes 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

          Lunch

         1:00 pm Retreat ends

         Travel Home
