Glen Salter

Director Product Development, Quality Control, Technical Solutions

Glen Salter

For the past thirty years, Glen has worked for several companies in various manufacturing and design positions, including technical and sales positions with a major sewing machine manufacturer. These jobs have prepared him well for his current position overseeing Product Development and Quality Control at Handi Quilter.

In this role, Glen enjoys working closely with many different departments at HQ: engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, marketing, sales, customer relations and technical solutions. Since starting with Handi Quilter in July, 2004, he has held positions where he oversaw customer service, production and distribution. Glen’s primary focus now is to develop new products, improve existing products, get new products delivered on schedule, and help develop technical training aids, product assembly manuals and service manuals. If and when any problems arise, it is his job to resolve product and customer issues.

Handi Quilter Reps all get to know Glen well at their New Rep Training session, during the opening lecture “The Theory of Needle and Stitch”, which he presents with the ultimate visual aid, “The Really BIG Needle”. Glen personally conducts the tech training for the new HQ Reps, assuring that Handi Quilter has people in the field ready to help quilters with their machines.
